Kickstart a New Band

For most of the last century, fans have cheered as a band played Here's to DePauw after the touchdown. The DePauw Marching Band and Tiger Pep Band won national acclaim as musical ambassadors of the university.

Now DePauw needs a new athletic band, run by energetic student leaders who will launch the next century of the Tiger Bands!

Make It Happen

A Century of Excellence

Even before Prof. Howard Barnum joined the DePauw faculty and became the first band and orchestra conductor in 1904, students launched their own ensembles.

Now, working with world-class faculty and advisers, like Director of Bands Dr. Craig Paré, students stretch their performance abilities and practice musical leadership.

The DePauw University Band has released numerous albums recognized for highlighting the finest wind literature, while Tiger Pep Band has been hailed as "the number one band in Division III athletics."

Build Your Professional Network

Notable artists and composers such as John Corigliano, Libby Larson, Augusta Reed Thomas, and Samuel Adler, are regularly in residence at the DePauw School of Music and work directly with students, sharing their talent.

Tiger Bands alumni, who have achieved uncommon success in many careers, also play an active role and become resources for students building their professional networks.
